Jigar
We found this winery entirely by accident. We went to Forestville on a recommendation to visit another winery and they were closed in spite of their posted hours. We walked across the street and had a pleasant visit at Jigar.
The wines are all from the Russian River appellation and we found them well crafted.
2014 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Pretty, delicate color to this one. A very juicy pinot with big round berries and a bright cherry finish. A delightful wine.
2013 Sedition, Chenoweth Vineyards. This wine is the first from the combination of Jigar Patel and Josh Bartels of Sedition Wines. The result was so good they have continued to combine efforts. A nicely drinkable wine on the lighter bodied side with nice fruit that lingers on the palate.
2014 Peters Vineyard Pinot Noir. Big, bold flavors bursting in the mouth with dark cherry, mineralogy and bright acid notes.
2014 Graham Family Vineyards. This one has a beautiful bright color, Big cherry fruit with a bright finish.
Featured around the Tasting Room is Ganesh. Kelly has an interesting relationship with Ganesh so she was instantly drawn to the place. I found the poster below interesting in a Northern California sort of way.
We recommend a visit to Jigar. Their wines are quite nice and the tasting experience is enjoyable.
