Over the Rainbow

Over the Rainbow is mostly a collection of more uptempo standards, with some swing in Stella By Starlight and All The Things You Are, and some Latin jazz in Meditation and Once I Loved.

The album also features distinctive arrangements of Over the Rainbow, Autumn Leaves and Chariots Of Fire. The latter builds to a dramatic crescendo before coming back to close the album.

Exceptions to the uptempo character include a dark, brooding arrangement of Darn That Dream and Matthew’s treatment of Jim Croce’s Time In A Bottle.
